So, many people, most people, actually, the exact number I believe, is 1 in a 1000, one in every thousand people have a clearly defined destination for their life, a clear vision for their life. And one of the biggest reasons that I come across as I train people over the last 20 years now as to why people don't take the time to create a clear vision for their life.
Who they want to become, what they want to create, experiences they want to have, et cetera, is a lot of times because we just get belief hammered out of us, where we stop believing in things as being possible. We get into the routine of life. We get beat up a little bit by life. We realize that the world's a little bit harder than we thought it was going to be. When we were in our adolescent years or even teenage years, and we had these big dreams, we had these ideas of who we were going to become, what we were going to accomplish, and how it was all going to be.
And then we got hit with the reality of life. And then you realize that it's not always so easy, and it doesn't always go the way that you anticipate. And it's a lot harder than oftentimes we thought it was gonna be in terms of the things we wanna accomplish, the things we wanna achieve, and also who we wanna become and things of that nature. And so, please give yourself permission to believe in a reality being possible for you that is far beyond the reality in which, you know, whatever that reality currently is, whether that reality is currently a struggle, whether reality is really going pretty well, and you're just ready to uplevel it, or you look at your life and you're like, man, it's better than I ever thought it would be. There's always an evolution to what you can achieve, both in terms of who you can become as a person, increasing your capacity, your ability, but also the outcomes and the results of which you can attain.
And so, hopefully, this is just a little reminder or permission that no matter what's going on in your life, no matter how hard it may be, no matter what challenges may be going on, no matter how good it is, give yourself permission to dream, give yourself permission to name a vision and to believe that it's possible, because that is the first step to creating anything. Every high performer I've ever worked with, they imagined the reality in which they wanted to achieve far before it ever happened. They imagined and they got clear about the reality in which they wanted to achieve far before it ever happened. And so if you want to achieve at a higher level, if you want to perform at a higher level than you currently are, no matter what level you're currently at, give yourself permission to gain clarity about and to name for yourself what is the next thing you want to accomplish, achieve, or who is it that you want to become and start looking at it every single day.
